Horticulture Specialist – MAP Trials (Fruits, Vegetables & Flowers)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Horticulture Specialist to lead and support trials of
Aeroseal Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) liners for fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The
candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and analyzing trial results to evaluate the
effectiveness of MAP solutions in extending shelf life, maintaining quality, and improving
marketability of perishable produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct horticulture trials for Aeroseal MAP liners across fruits,
    vegetables, and flowers.
  • Collaborate with growers, packhouses, and internal teams to execute trials in field and
    packhouse environments.
  • Monitor and document crop quality parameters including freshness, shelf life, weight
    loss, firmness, and visual appeal.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret trial data to prepare detailed reports with
    recommendations.
  • Ensure trials are conducted in alignment with scientific standards, food safety guidelines,
    and company protocols.
  • Provide technical support and insights to enhance product performance and market
    adoption.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and contribute to continuous
    improvement of MAP liner applications.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Horticulture, Post-Harvest Technology, Agriculture
    Science, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in horticulture research, post-harvest handling, or related trials
    (fruits, vegetables, or floriculture preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of crop physiology, storage conditions, and post-harvest practices.
  • Experience in conducting field/packhouse trials and analyzing trial data.
  • Good communication and reporting skills with ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel to farms, packhouses, and trial locations as required.
